Florencia Azorín
Florencia Azorín. Quilmes 1989. His work interrogates the crosses between the earth and the body, through cinematographic experimentation, ceramics, botany and witchcraft. He studied Audiovisual Arts at the National University of the Arts with an orientation in Production.
She is the producer of Río Turbio (2020) by Tatiana Mazú González, a film that premiered in Fidmarseille, where it won the George de Beauregard International Award, it was also awarded in Antofacine (Chile) and in the New Languages competition and best international documentary in Miradas Docs ( Spain), among others.
He made the integral production of the video dance Territorio (2019) by Malena Martínez and Irina Hayipanteli, which was screened at various festivals in Canada, Spain, Ecuador, Mexico, Bolivia, Colombia. It obtained the distinctions for best documentary short film at Fiver Madrid, the award given by the Red Iberomaericana de Videodanza en Videodanza BA, Best short film for human rights and RAFMA mention at the Corporalidad Expandida festival. She is the producer of Emoji Emoji (2019) directed by Joaquín Maito and the short film Can a mountain recall (2021) by photographer Delfina Carlota Vázquez, premiered at the E tudo verdade festival in Brazil.
Her productions have also been selected at Camden IFF, Mar del Plata Film Festival, Cámara Lúcida, Ficunam, Festifreak, Doclisboa, Fidocs, Miradas docs and Transcinema, E tudo verdade. She has received support to make his films from INCAA, Buenos Aires Biennial of Young Art, Patronage of the City, Buenos Aires International Videodance Festival and the National Fund for the Arts.
She is currently working on the development of feature films: Croosroads by sound artist Julián Galay, Nostalgia, the road by Joaquín Maito, Citytour by Esteban Belloto and Disposable Love by Azul Aizenberg.
